Drainage

N-Tec Services provide a complete range of drainage solutions, from new system installations through to repairs, inspections and emergency unblocking. With extensive experience across domestic, commercial and industrial environments, our engineers ensure your drainage system remains safe, compliant and free-flowing.

When drainage issues occur, they can quickly escalate and cause disruption, property damage and unpleasant odours. Regular maintenance and timely repairs help prevent these problems and protect your property.

We are based locally in Sherborne, Dorset.

We install new drainage systems for refurbishments and extensions. Our engineers assess site access, ground conditions and usage requirements to design efficient, long-lasting solutions tailored to your property.

Damaged or collapsed drains can restrict flow and lead to structural issues. We carry out targeted repairs to restore performance and prevent further deterioration, with options ranging from standard excavation and replacement to “No-Dig” & Trenchless methods.

Using specialist CCTV cameras, we can inspect the condition of underground drainage without excavation. CCTV surveys can identify blockages, cracks, root ingress and structural defects quickly, allowing accurate diagnosis and repair planning. Using advanced tracing equipment to locate CCTV cameras and sondes we can identify the route of drainage runs, concealed access covers and the location of damage.

High pressure water jetting clears persistent blockages, removes scale and restores flow within the drainage system. Our team provide a fast response to minimise disruption.

Broken or damaged covers can be hazardous. We supply and install replacement covers and frames suitable for driveways, gardens and commercial sites. We can supply standard covers or bespoke fabricated FACTA approved to meet specific requirements.

Commercial kitchens and food preparation environments are required to have suitable grease management in place to prevent blockages and improve environmental performance. We supply, install and service grease separators and traps. Most system require regular emptying to ensure continued effectiveness.

Oil interceptors protect drainage systems and surface water from contamination caused by oils, fuels and hydrocarbons. We install and maintain units for workshops, garages, car parks and industrial sites, helping you meet environmental obligations.

In order to maintain compliance with regulations, oil interceptors should be inspected on a 6 monthly basis, with more in-depth structural inspections carried out at minimum of 5 yearly interval. Where inspections identify high levels of sludge or light liquids emptying of the system will be required.

We can install alarm systems that provide warning in the event of the levels of sludge and light liquids reaching the maximum permitted.

When installing a new drainage field after your septic tank or sewage treatment plant, it needs careful planning and design. Initially you must carry out a site assessment, which documents the use of the site or property and maximum daily flow calculated using British Water Flows & Loads document.

A trail hole must be excavated to a minimum depth of 2.1 meters to identify ground conditions and water table. If the trial hole is successful then percolation tests must then be carried out. This involves excavating a number smaller holes, saturating the holes and then carrying out 3 tests in each hole. The time taken for water to drain away is recorded for each test in each hole.

The results are then used to calculate the VP value which is required to calculate the infiltration trench area. We hold a copy of BS 6297:2006 + A1:2008 and our percolation tests are carried out and documented in accordance with the British Standard.
